In a Foreign City

Leora’s texts – edited with Nurit Zarchi and Yammi Wisler – record eavesdropping on conversations, moments of contemplation of short, seemingly simple life shots of strangers on the street, at the beach or in the café – images behind which their innocent appearance echo anxieties, tensions and fateful events that remain implied in the background, along with cabaret cover versions of familiar songs, which are given a new interpretation by Leora’s performance and intertwine with the mysterious and enchanted scene of the evening.
