A Jerusalemite Story Telling Night

A Jerusalemite Story is a joint project of Sipur Israeli (Israel Story) and the Jerusalem Fundation, providing a stage for stories from and about Jerusalem, from a wide range of communities in the city. The purpose is to meet and hear the people we don’t get to meet every day, representing a wide array of ages, backgrounds, neighborhoods, traditions and religions.

Stories have a real power to change reality, and we see daily evidence on how proper listening and understanding promotes empathy and tolerance.

Every evening, we’ll hear eight stories, 7 minutes each, and the audience will select the best story of the evening. Stories must be told in first person form, be real stories that happened to the story tellers themselves (no exaggerating, no making up stuff!), and it must be told by heart (we don’t have pages).
