ביתה במדבר – her home is in the desert – за туманом
In the mid-20th century in the soviet union, a civil movement formed with no specific leader. These people shared a passion for nature, an understanding that relationships are the most important thing, and a positive warm attitude towards life. This movement has produced poetic writings and music genre that was sung at gatherings around the bonfires and in apartments across the Soviet Union.
Dina was born in Russia and migrated to Israel with her parents at the age of two. As part of her own personal journey and reconnecting with her family's story and history She translated the songs she had heard in her childhood into Hebrew. The songs are translated in a free style that tries to catch their deep essence.
In her concert, she invites the audience to get a glimpse into her own and the greater journey's taken before in that world, while bringing up relevant questions and issues that yet exist also in Israel nowadays, and the people living in it.
